Subject: Transporting Equipment
Several equipment dealers asking for the specific regulations regarding the
transportation of equipment have recently contacted your SouthWestern
Association. As a result of these inquiries coupled with the fact that there
have been some serious accidents involving equipment dealers hauling wide
loads, we commissioned SouthWestern’s law firm to put together the attached
documents that I hope you will find useful as you haul equipment for your
dealership, for customers, etc.…
The attached information is state-specific to your main store location and
includes some limited information on federal regulations.
Attached please find information for the following states:
If you would like the state information for another state that SouthWestern
represents other than for the ones attached, please
contact your Association Office or contact me at
jflora@swassn.com and
we will send you the information on the state(s) you request.
We hope you will find this information useful and helpful. Please contact
me if you have any questions or need additional information on this important
issue.
Thanks for your continued support and participation of your SouthWestern
Association!
Sincerely,
Jeff Flora, CAE
Chief Executive Officer
