Offering legislative
representation in Washington, D.C., as well as in the state capitols of Arkansas, Kansas,
Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas, the SouthWestern
Association works full-time to identify and track bills relevant to the independent
retailer. We also assist members with questions and issues concerning federal and state
governmental agencies.
SouthWestern Association is a member of the Southwest
Council of Agribusiness (SWCA),
an
alliance of association, agricultural organizations, financial institutions,
and businesses, established to actively advocate for strong agricultural
policy which is so important to the businesses and economy of Texas and the
greater Southwest area. The Council will be working through former House
Agriculture Committee Chairman Larry Combest and Tom Sell of Combest, Sell &
Associates, LLC, a government affairs group in Washington, DC. Report
